I might have to confess that the web data market looks like really like a room of decorative mirrors in view of discovering fact. There is certainly a whole lot of so labeled authentic data flying in existence around but from my personal experiences it seems like it is every bit of the exact same bs. I happen to have been in the market for opt-in data files that Allow me to use for email promotions in a few individual industry sectors but what i’ve acquired so far seem like it was truly farmed off of sites. Many of the web logs online are very helpful but I feel dizzy just attempting to sort through all the content articles of exceptional data.

Thank you for the great insight Andy, you are very right when it comes to developers and designers. Most of us aren\\\’t outgoing enough to be sales people so it takes a special kind of person to take this kind of approach.

I will however be writing an article shortly on using various job boards and online service to get clients. So be looking for that article shortly!

You’re right: these ideas work better if you’re an aggressive cold-calleror want to spam someone.

But tech consultants tend not to have thatmentality or emotional fortitude to be able to handle repeatedrejections.

My recommendation is two-fold: add your services to any andevery online directory that lists services like yours in your location(e.g., FreelanceLocalTech.com, which is a new directory organized aroundclients locating local tech consultants, and FreelanceDesigners) andpay-per-click search engine ads (google, yahoo, etc.). These are morepassive — you’re waiting for the clients to call — but if your web siteand your ads have a compelling message, clients will indeed call.
