Go nude with the second annual CSS Naked Day
April 1st, 2007 by Dustin Brewer
Dustin Diaz has come up with a wonderful idea about an annual CSS Naked Day that will basically be a day without the use of CSS in your web design to show the benefits of CSS over old HTML or XHTML based designs. It shows how much of a difference the CSS makes to the way your overall web site looks. He currently has a list of over 40 web sites that are going to be participating on April 5th with the CSS Naked day. This will be the second annual CSS Naked Day and hopefully the biggest, last year Dustin Diaz was able to get over 500 people involved in this experiment if you will. It is of course a design community event and you probably wouldn’t want to exercise it as a naked day outside of coding.
To sign up as a participant in this web accessibility event visit Dustin Diaz’s CSS Naked Day web site. Don’t forget to set your calendars for April 5th to strip your CSS and just have basic HTML code showing how much CSS really does for you. Also there are a few plugins to help you strip your web site on that day available on his web site also.
