Completely new design and layout!
May 4th, 2007 by Dustin Brewer
I have completely redesigned the web site and made sure it is 100% standards compliant. I dropped all of the ridiculous tables that I was using previously — I was just being lazy. The new site is all CSS/XHTML and works in every browser as best I can tell. I haven’t tried IE6 but I don’t really care, if you are still using IE6 you need to upgrade to Firefox or Opera. I had enough trouble getting it to work in IE7.If you do however experience any problems with the site please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you in whatever way I can, if I can. I did drop a few pages but they were not that important and I may add them and more back in the future.
I do intend on tweaking the web site a little further so if you have any suggestions for the site or wish to see me add a feature to the web site while I am updating it let me know here in the comments or through email.
I did drop MyBlogLog temporarily because they do not adhere to web standards at all and it effects the web site negatively because of that. I still enjoy the service but until they offer a web standards alternative I cannot continue to use it in the manner I had been using it.
I also removed some of the advertisements that were on the site because they were hampering the loading time and effecting the overall look of the web site due to poorly designed banners. I may be adding some replacement items to ensure that I still get the advertising for the web site I need.
At any rate, leave a thumbs up or thumbs down on your opinion of the web site in the comments and let me know what you think, the web site is mostly designed for all of you — my audience.

hmm…..you know….I’ve kinda had it with these
silly comments/IE snobbery.
IE is 80% of the browser world: DEAL WITH IT
and stop whining incessantly!…or should I say inCSSantly! (?)
In
any event, dealing with and flexibly adapting to all manner of
semi-literate and semi-competent browsers is going to be MORE the way of
life, not LESS.
More and more devices are becoming web enabled with
varying degrees of CSS compatibility and validity - From Opera Mini, to the
WII browser, to the PSP Portable to ….
NEW SITE DESIGN: Quite nice,
if somewhat bland, kinda hard to say “New Site Design” when contrasted
against the painful reality of a “3 column CSS blog type layout with
Tab-menu-on-the-top-and-a-picture-of-a-man-considered-by-himself-to-be-moderately-good-looking-in-the-upper-right++Obligatory-web2.0-tag-cloud-of-!Important-Things”
Why
the hell do you -ANYONE- need “Advertising revenue” anyway? why sully
your site with their tawdry come ons and non-standard ways? web hosting is
like what…$5 a month? a tank of gas? lol
Nice enough site/layout: Not
quite what I’d have if I were an “oklahoma web design agency “
though…

Looks great, still needs a little work on some of the pages for standards
though. But overall much better design then before.
